Brian was born in Birmingham, but grew up on the coast of North Wales in Holyhead.

Early in the 1980s he joined the Royal Navy and began work at the naval hospital in Gosport.

Brian was drafted to the Royal Naval Hospital in Gibraltar in and in his spare time helped out at the  local forces radio station - BFBS. 

When his  navy career ended at the beginning of 1990 he began working at BFBS London as studio manager/producer, and also as a contributor/presenter.

He then continued his hospital laboratory work, before his retirement in 2018.

Since then Brian has have spent time on home improvements and chasing a golf ball around the local golf course!!

Brian's other hobbies include travel, pets (especially border collies) music, current events as well as a healthy interest in local hostelries and cuisine!
